Kondody Group was established in the year 1973 by Mr.Tom Thomas (Our current chairman). The group’s journey began as a private bus operator in the high ranges of Central kerala but under the eminent leadership of Mr Tom Thomas the group saw steady growth and later widened its horizons to Bus body building. In (year) the group ventured into hospitality industry with the opening of Greenwoods resorts in Thekkady, a property sprawling over 6 acres of greenery in the heartland of periyar tiger reserve welcoming Indian and International tourists with heartwarming hospitality.

At Kondody group, we uphold the principle that our client should get more value for the money he spends with us. For us, quality is not an act but a habit.

Greenwoods is an ISO 9001-2008 certified resort and is headed by Rahul Tom, the managing director who takes pride in treading the path paved by his father with sheer hard work and dedication. A post graduate in Business Management, Rahul took over the family business in Hospitality in the year of 2006 and since then he has been the torchbearer, heading the growth of Greenwoods Resorts. Currently Greenwoods is branded as a 5 star resort offering the finest of service in hospitality and in the year 2012 won accolades being ranked as one among the best 25 resorts in India at the “Travelers Choice Awards”

We believe in the conservation of environment and forests and encourage our eco-friendly travelers to partner with us in our initiatives towards this cause. We have a very efficient waste management system and ensure no harm is done to our natural flora and fauna. Planting of new trees and protecting each of them is a mission which we have undertaken with great passion.
